Additional Info
For more than 60 years, BBBS Central Mass and MetroWest has helped transform the lives of more than 30,000 children facing adversity. Our mission is to create and support one-to-one, evidence-based mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
We will support 650 "Littles" this year; ages range from 6 to 25, about half are from single-parent households, at least 5% have a family member involved in the courts system, only 20% identify as white, 48% are male, 50% female, and 2% other, and all live in or adjacent to ‘opportunity deserts,’ living in or near poverty. These numbers don’t define their identities, but connecting with a positive mentor can redefine their futures.
